Who we are
When I began my Jiu Jitsu journey 14 years ago, I had two dreams: become a high-level Jiu Jitsu practitioner and become an attorney. Growing up as a first-generation immigrant in New York I saw immigrants as everything New York had to offer. As a child, I served as an interpreter, guide, and assistant for my parents who didn’t speak English or understand the U.S. system. During law school, I chose immigration law and worked hard to graduate in the top of my class, earning the Immigrant Justice Fellowship. I practiced immigration law at a leading organization and have over 8 years of experience in the legal field. Even through law school Jiu Jitsu was my constant. I met my wife and most of my friends through Jiu Jitsu. I feel fulfilled by teaching Jiu Jitsu. I never stop learning Jiu Jitsu. My Jiu Jitsu community supports me and we support the Jiu Jitsu community. We are able to use our contacts, expertise, and passion to help Jiu Jitsu athletes successfully navigate the immigration system. Our team “can take your back.” For Jiujiteiros. By Jiujiteiros.
